Embodied Insight: A Mindfulness Retreat
Join the WOW community and the Bucks Insight Meditation Group for a day of mindfulness in community.
Putting aside our duties, responsibilities, and social engagements for a period of time can be a powerful support for the deepening of insight and for opening into deeper states of calm and peace. During this retreat we will maintain a quiet environment, committing to a simple schedule of sitting and walking meditation, interspersed with periods of guided mindful movement, a shared mindful meal, and practice with deep listening to ourselves and one another.
Over several hours of seamless practice, momentum builds. The heart opens. Transformation happens. Renewal is possible.
No prior experience necessary. All are welcome to participate. Half day option is available.
During this retreat we will
practice sitting and walking meditation;
explore mindfulness in motion with simple Qigong moves;
experience periods of “noble silence” as well as mindful speech and listening;
share a mindful meal together;
open our hearts in compassion and loving-kindness meditations;
give ourselves a break from the demands and duties of our lives.
Fees and Registration:
This event is freely offered on a donation basis. All gifts of any size are gratefully accepted. Online donations can be made at any time, or you can bring cash or a check made payable to Way Opens Wellness on the day of the retreat. If you are unable to pay, you are still welcome to participate in the retreat.
