This midday group class explores F.M. Alexander's way of moving with more ease, alignment, balance, and freedom. We begin to recognize our unconscious habits, bringing more presence to our actions, and make simple changes that heal and restore our body-minds. Learn more about the Alexander Technique here.
Participants may bring their personal movement challenges and body issues to the group, and together we examine how the AT approach can help. Some areas we might explore include:
How to sit in balance without strain
Working at a desk/computer
How to wear a mask and social distance with ease
Bending/squatting/lunging/kneeling for everyday tasks
Reaching/holding/lifting/carrying for everyday tasks
Breathing, speaking, listening, and silence
Drop in once or show up every week.
