This 4-week course will provide instruction in Insight (Vipassana) Meditation and Loving-kindness (Metta) Meditation practices. We will also experiment with the ways that mindful movement and body awareness can support us in meditation practice, using exercises informed by Qigong and Alexander Technique.
This class is suitable for beginners who want to learn about mindfulness meditation, as well as experienced meditators who seek a deeper understanding of mindfulness, or who want to solve body problems experienced during meditation. It is also perfect for anyone who wants to bring the insights gained in meditation into everyday living, for increased ease, confidence, and balance.
Fee includes handouts and audio files, which are yours to keep for home practice.
The course is taught by Amy Ward Brimmer, MA, qualified teacher of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), certified teacher of the Alexander Technique, and owner of Way Opens Wellness, LLC.
