This free one-hour introductory session gives a taste of what the full MBSR 8-week Foundations course is like.
Through meditation and awareness exercises, we will explore this practical, proven approach, which has been shown to reduce anxiety, depression, and pain, and provides the key to more balance, ease, and healthy vitality.
You will learn:
What mindfulness is and how it can reduce stress and enhance well-being;
The history of MBSR, how the course is structured and the practices you will explore during the 8 weeks;
How mindfulness practice supports everyday living.
The hour-long session will be followed by optional private orientation meetings with the teacher, for those who are ready to enroll.
