Release. Embrace. Open.
New Year’s Eve is a good time to slow down and take stock. As the old year winds down and a new year begins, we benefit from a deeper connection to ourselves and a sharper clarity about where we’ve traveled so far and where our journey is taking us. After the frenzy of the holiday season (which seems to begin earlier each year), the last day of the year beckons with the promise of quiet contemplation and release.
This mini-retreat offers the possibility of stillness within movement, and movement within stillness.
We will explore the “MBA” of Qigong: movement, breath, and awareness.
Using the Alexander Technique, we’ll investigate walking and sitting, looking for fresh approaches to these everyday movements.
Insight meditation will provide a way to listen deeply to ourselves.
We will have a chance to set some intentions for 2020, sharing them with each other for commitment and mutual inspiration.
And you’ll still have time to get to whatever plans you may have for celebrating that night!
Release what has passed. Embrace what is here now. Open to what is on the horizon.
